Students are requested to bring their own laptop or tablet (and charger) with them to class.

The objective of the Ohio Department of Health’s certification in food protection rule, 3701-21-25 of the Administrative Code, is to educate and train food personnel on effective food safety practices for preventing foodborne illness. Ohio's Certification program consists of two levels of training: Person-In-Charge (formerly "level one") and Manager (formerly "level two").
Beginning March 1, 2017, each risk level III and risk level IV food service operation and retail food establishment is required to have at least one employee with supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control food preparation and service that has obtained the Ohio Manager Certification in food protection. The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification meets the Ohio requirements mentioned above, and is nationally recognized and accredited. To date, more than 3 million ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certifications have been awarded. Class/exam sessions listed to the right are available for registration in our online store. Online Classes in OhioHHC does offer the ServSafe Food Protection Manager class online. However, please be aware of the following:
ServSafe Exam Scores & CertificatesServSafe no longer prints physical certificates. Instead, certificates can be printed by the certificate holder by visiting www.servsafe.com. Certificate holders need to log-in to your ServSafe website, then click on “My Account” and finally “My Certificates” to view or print their certificate. There is no charge for saving or printing the certificate.
If you’d like HHC to mail you a printed copy of your certificate, the fee is $10.00. Please contact us by phone to order a copy. Please note that HHC can only print certificates for those individuals who attended a class with HHC. |
